2025 Nissan Altima vs 2024 Nissan Altima

Serving Turnersville NJ

The midsize Nissan Altima’s sixth generation debuted several years ago, and the sedan has benefited from numerous mid-generation updates since that time. These updates continue going into the 2025 model year with a few changes to the Altima’s engineering and an all-new SV Special Edition package. Before arriving at the dealership for a test drive, what should you know about the differences between the 2024 and 2025 Nissan Altima?

Performance

In 2025, the Nissan Altima’s SR VC-Turbo trim is discontinued. As a result, the only engine available in the 2025 trim lineup is the 2.5-liter, four-cylinder gas engine. In front-wheel drive versions of the Altima, the output is 188 horsepower. All-wheel drive versions draw 182 horsepower from the engine. If you choose the Altima SR, your sedan will have transmission paddle shifters as well as a sport suspension.

Appearance

If you opt for the 2025 Altima with the Special Edition package, your sedan will have a black rear spoiler and glossy black wheels. Inside, this package adds a carbon-fiber center console. Overall, the Altima’s design is unchanged between the 2024 and 2025 versions. The model has a sporty style, low ground clearance, and a dramatic front-end design. Nissan’s popular V-motion grille has a stacked yet radiating pattern and chrome side trim. Both the LED-enhanced headlights and the wide air inlets taper into a point to show off the grille’s shape.

Features

The new Special Edition package includes wireless smartphone app connections, a wireless charging pad, and a 12.3-inch HD display screen. In 2025, the Nissan Maintenance Care program is standard with all Altima purchases. Other features available for 2024 and 2025 include a Bose premium sound system with nine speakers, rear auto braking, leather seats, a navigation system, a heated steering wheel, NissanConnect, a navigation system, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, heated front seats, a dual-zone auto climate control system, rear USB ports, forward collision mitigation, a driver attention warning, rear parking sensors, keyless entry, a push-button engine starter, a lane departure warning and several additional features.
