2022 Nissan Sentra vs 2022 Nissan Altima
Serving Turnersville, NJ
The current Nissan lineup has great possibilities to consider for drivers who expect quality and athleticism from their next sedan. The Sentra is a small, four-door car that sits directly below the midsize Altima in the lineup. At Nissan of Turnersville, car shoppers often ask our friendly sales reps about specific differences between these popular models. With a deeper look at their many differences, you can feel confident when you make your final selection.
Performance
The budget-minded Sentra leaves no room for disappointment behind the wheel. All three of its trims receive 149 horsepower from a four-cylinder engine. The powertrain system includes a continuously variable transmission with front-wheel drive. On the other hand, four of Altima’s five trim levels pull 188 horsepower from a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter system with a continuously variable transmission. The Altima SR receives 236 horsepower from its turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder system. Front-wheel drive is standard in three of the Altima’s trims. All-wheel drive is standard in the SR and the top-of-the-line Platinum.
Appearance
The 2022 Nissan Sentra is distinctly smaller than the Altima, and long, gracious curves define it throughout the profile and side panels. The V-motion grille has a thick, chrome element that reaches toward the pointed LED headlights. Higher trim levels have 18-inch wheels, a sunroof, a rear spoiler, and foglights. The 2022 Altima has a similar look through its curving profile and grille. However, the grille is larger and sinks through the bottom of the bumper. The headlights are strongly angled for a sporty touch. In addition, the sides have several crisp accents running through them. A sunroof, 19-inch wheels, and foglights are available.
Features
These impressive Nissan cars have what it takes to impress you inside the cabin. In some or all Sentra trims, you can appreciate a surround-view parking camera, a Bose sound system, a wireless hotspot, heated front seats, an auto climate control system, leather material, and more. The Altima is available with these same features, and it adds ambient lighting, a universal garage door opener, a navigation system, and a few other items.
